The Sensory Garden is used to demonstrate the principles of Universal Designs. It is specifically created to provide visitors an opportunity to pander to their 5 senses within the garden. The sensory garden serves many functions, such as education, socializing, healing and horticultural therapy, through enlivening all our 5 senses.
The design of the sensory garden provides a stimulating journey to heighten our awareness of our 5 senses and enables us to experience and recognise different sights, sounds, textures, smells and tastes in a comfortable and calming environment. There are benches around the park for visitors to rest while listening to the sounds and taking in the sights and smells.
