INTRODUCTION
This course covers the basics and concept of building energy modelling for passive and active design. Participants will learn about the energy modelling methodology and submission requirement for Green Mark. On top of these, participants will have hands-on experience on energy simulation.

LECTURER
MR YONG PING QUEN is the Director-Partner of Building System and Diagnostics Pte Ltd. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and MSc in Building Science from the National University of Singapore. Mr Yong has more than 15 years of experience in energy and environmentally efficient green buildings. He is one of the pioneers in energy modelling and has been a BCA appointed independent energy modelling assessor for Green Mark projects since 2010. Mr Yong also sits on the Singapore Green Building Council Mechanical Systems Taskforce Committee.


TARGET AUDIENCE
Building professionals, project managers, developers, building owners, facility managers and other stakeholders involved in green building projects.


ASSESSMENT AND AWARD
This course is assessment-based. A Certificate of Successful Completion (CSC) will be issued
to participants who :
i. Achieve at least 75% class attendance; and
ii. Pass all the assessment(s)
