INTRODUCTION
Participants will learn the concept of solar geometry in the context of different climate zones, sun path diagrams and stereographic projections as a means to understand and read solar geometry and use Ecotect as a tool to demonstrate the impact of solar geometry on building facades and in turn the indoor space.

LECTURER
MR ALAN FOO is the Senior Principal Sustainable Building Engineer in CPG Consultants Pte Ltd and holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons), MEng in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and MSc in Sustainable Building Design. He has more than 10 years of experience in the building industry, specialising in green building design and simulation consultancy works. He was involved in the design and simulation of some of the Green Mark Platinum award projects including Gardens by the Bay and National University of Singapore (School of Medicine).


ASSESSMENT AND AWARD
This course is assessment-based. A Certificate of Successful Completion (CSC) will be issued to participants who:
i. Achieve at least 75% class attendance; and
ii. Pass all the assessment(s)

Building professionals, project managers, developers, building owners, facility managers and other stakeholders involved in green building projects.
