Located at Braddell Road, BCA Academy was built on a 5-ha site with a building area of 25,000 square metres. Its campus boasts of a wide range of modern training facilities such as large and well-equipped training workshops, lecture rooms, IT training rooms, seminar rooms, design studios, an auditorium with a seating capacity of more than 200 and a function hall that can accommodate 400 people.
The Academy also houses a gallery and a sensory garden that serve as a national education centre to showcase new initiatives by BCA and the industry in improving the built environment of the nation. The zero-energy building was added to the campus in October 2009 which serves as a live test-bed to green building technologies. The WSH Gallery later added in 2012 to enhance learning experience of our students enrolled on the safety related course. These facilities are dedicated towards our commitment in construction research, process development and innovation which contribute towards improving the safety, quality, sustainability and friendliness of the built environment.
The latest addition in 2016, Academic Tower at the BCA Academy is the dedicated experiential learning facility and living lab for the built environment sector.
The Academic Tower transforms the BCA Academy into a living lab that enhances the learning experience of students and built environment professionals alike. Some of the experiential features include a rooftop education deck with a functional energy efficient chiller plant, life-size graphics on Universal Design and a dedicated outdoor air dual wheel system. The Academic Tower complements the mix of existing experiential and test-bed facilities at the Academy, such as the Centre for Lean & Virtual Construction, Zero Energy Building and Sensory Garden.
