Graduation Ceremony marks the high point of the academic year. We celebrate the accomplishments of our students, the culmination of our graduands hard work and sacrifices made to mark the academic achievements.
In light of the COVID-19 situation, BCA Academy will be holding the Graduation Ceremony over several sessions from 29 November to 3 December 2021 in the campus. The sessions will also be streamed ‘live’ so that graduands and loved ones who are unable to attend physically can still celebrate the achievements wherever one is.

All graduands would have received an invitation to the Graduation Ceremony via email in the first week of November 2021. Graduands are to complete the Graduation Survey and register their attendance for the Graduation Ceremony by 12 November 2021. If a graduand fails to respond by the deadline, it will be assumed that he/she will not be attending the ceremony and no arrangement will be made for his/her attendance at the Graduation Ceremony.
Each graduand’s assigned session (date and time) for the Graduation Ceremony will be determined after collating all registrations from the graduating cohort.
Graduands must settle any outstanding loan of BCAA property (e.g. library books or library fines) and fees with the Academy before they can attend the Graduation Ceremony or collect their certificates.
The official gown vendor for this year’s graduation ceremony is Joyous Asia Events.

Please collect your graduation gown on the date and time you have indicated in your online registration. Graduands who are unable to collect the gown on the scheduled dates, may wish to contact the vendor directly at 6844 7142 or enquiry@joyousasia.com. |
A rental fee of S$20.00 will be charged by Joyous Asia Events. Graduands are to make payment directly to the vendor upon collection of gowns. Payment can only be made by cash or PayNow.
An additional S$80.00 will be collected by the gown vendor as deposit for the graduation gown and hood. This amount will be refunded upon prompt return of graduation gown and hood (in good condition) to the vendor.
Every graduand will be given one complimentary guest admission ticket. Additional tickets will be charged at S$40.00 (incl. GST) per ticket, subject to availability. The number of additional guest admission tickets available for purchase will be determined after collating all registrations from the graduating cohort. Registration for additional guest tickets will be done separately, via Joyous Asia Events portal, and on a first-come-first-serve basis. Payment must be made by cash or PayNow directly to the gown vendor.
Guests without valid admission ticket will not be allowed entry to witness the ceremony proceedings. Misplaced admission tickets WILL NOT be replaced nor re-issued.
Due to the nature of the event, it is recommended for guests to be at least 7 years of age.
Graduands who require accessible seating for their guest are to inform us by replying to the invitation email.
Things to bring along for the Graduation Ceremony:
Upon arrival, graduands are to register at the cafeteria (Blk F Level 1) on the day of their assigned session at 9:00 am for the first session or 2:00 pm for the second session.
Graduands must be fully vaccinated under the national vaccination programme and be able to show proof of vaccination status (e.g. TraceTogether app, HealthHub or vaccination cards) at the point of registration. Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 (within last 270 days) and have a valid Pre-Event Test (PET) exemption notice; and individuals with a valid negative Antigen Rapid Test (ART) or Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) result from an MOH-approved COVID-19 test provider (https://www.moh.gov.sg/licensing-and-regulation/regulations-guidelines-and-circulars/details/list-of-covid-19-swab-providers) within the last 24 hours are also allowed to attend. Otherwise, the graduand will be invited to take an ART on the spot and be allowed admission only upon a negative result.
Upon registration, every graduand will be given a Name Slip which will be read out on stage during the proceedings. Graduands are to ensure that the name is correct and retain it until going up stage. Please refer to the section “ORDER OF PROCEEDINGS” for details.
Graduands should be registered by 9:30 am for the first session or 2:30 pm for the second session. Please be punctual as LATECOMERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON STAGE.
All graduands are required to put on the graduation gown and hood when attending the Graduation Ceremony. Graduands who are inappropriately attired will not be allowed on stage.
The recommended dress code is as follows:

The gown vendor will be on-site to assist graduands with their gowns and hoods on that day.
Upon the cue from marshals, graduands are to quietly leave their seats row by row to queue for stage presentation with their Name Slip in hand.
Graduands will collect their respective scroll/folder just before going up to the stage.
Pass the Name Slip to the Emcee on stage. As soon as your name is announced, please walk briskly across the stage, face the photographers and audience to have your photograph taken. Then proceed to walk to the other side of the stage. There will be marshals to guide you back to your seat in the Hall.
To ensure that all certificates are correctly issued, the scroll received by graduands on stage WILL NOT contain any document.
Graduands will collect their certificates after exiting from the stage, at the back of the Hall. Graduands are to return to their seats after collecting the certificate and remain seated for the rest of the ceremony.
Each graduand will have two photograph shots taken on stage
At the end of the ceremony, graduands will be invited to go on stage again with their guest(s) for an additional photograph taken by the official photographer. Please abide to all safe management measures during the photography.
Graduands may place their orders for copies of the photographs with the official photographer, Joyous Asia Events.
The official photographer will be setting up an on-site mobile studio during Graduation Week at the Student Lounge (Blk F, Level 1) to provide photography services for graduands and families.
Due to the large number of graduands at the venue, prior arrangement with the photographer for the family portraits is recommended.
Graduands are under no obligation to purchase from the vendor. All purchases are voluntary.

Please note that getting the test done at the MOH-approved COVID-19 test provider will speed up the registration process before the ceremony.

Admission to the Hall will be strictly controlled and permitted only with valid guest admission tickets. One admission ticket admits one guest only.
Guests are to be seated within the designated sections and marshals will be on site for guidance. Guests are not permitted to enter the seating rows/sections for graduands.
Guests must remain seated throughout the Graduation Ceremony, and refrain from standing up to avoid obstructing other audience and the proceedings.
Graduands and guests are advised to take public transport on the event day due to limited parking spaces at BCA Braddell Campus.
