The Build Smart Conference provides a platform for practitioners from different disciplines to gain insights of overseas and local advancement towards construction productivity, its technologies, processes and concepts, business case, as well as exemplary projects. Launched in 2011, the Build Smart Conference has been a key event, which is an industry-wide campaign to raise awareness in enhancing construction productivity.


CONFERENCE OUTLINE
The theme for this year revolves around “Unlocking Innovation through Digital Transformation” focusing on technological advancement and best practices in Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD). The international and local experts will share on their experiences on topics such as application of digitalisation through exemplary international and local IDD projects that enhance our construction productivity.

KEYNOTE 1:
Transformation Journey to end-to-end Digital Project Delivery
by Mr Alberto Munoz Cuevas, Associate Partner, McKinsey & Company

Alberto Munoz is an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company based in Singapore. He has led Operations and Digital transformation and RTS (McKinsey’s turnaround ‘Recovery Transformation Services’) programs across Asia, Europe and Middle East for more than 20 different clients in both public and private sectors.
Alberto has supported many of the owner teams, construction companies and suppliers on strategy and operation, digital and organization transformations. He is currently leading a global digital transformation for a leading construction company.



KEYNOTE 2:
Digitalisation in Building Construction

by Mr Heah Soon Poh, Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Engineering & Operations), JTC 
Mr Heah is the Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Engineering and 
Operations) at JTC, Singapore’s lead government agency responsible for the development of industrial infrastructure to catalyse the growth of new industries and transform existing enterprises. Overseeing the Engineering and Operations Group, Mr Heah is responsible for JTC’s engineering design, project management, facility and estate management, as well as security and workplace safety for all JTC’s estates and developments. He also played a key role in furthering the development and transformation of these industry clusters through specialised projects like one-north, Seletar Aerospace Park, Jurong Island and the Wafer Fab Parks.
