OVERVIEW
The eligibility for registration of crane operators has always been based on skill and competency. To facilitate the need for training in other crane types, a registered crane operator of a particular crane must attend & pass a bridging course if he intends to be operator of another type of crane.
OBJECTIVES
The list of bridging courses will prepare existing operators to learn and operate another type of cranes in a shorter time instead of attending the full course. These short courses will also provide relief to the industry/companies who may face shortage of the relevant type of crane operators.
COURSE OUTLINE
The 5-day bridging courses comprises theory lesson, hands-on practical session, and half-day assessment. The topics to be covered are as follows:
a) Safety requirements and operation for various types of crane
b) Principles and characteristics of mobile/tower crane d) Field exercises
c) Interpreting load capacity chart
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Registered Crawler Crane or Mobile Crane (Off road rough terrain) or Mobile Crane operator (Truck mounted) operators.

Duration: 5 days (Training – 36 hours, Test/assessment – 4 hours)

Fee (inclusive of 9% GST): $1,426.17
ASSESSMENT & AWARD
Participants must attend at least 75% of the training session to be eligible to take the written and practical assessment. Those who successfully pass the course assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Successful Completion.
