About the Course

Overview

Energy modelling is an integrated approach that provides a good gauge of the energy consumption of the building, identifies energy efficiency opportunities and gives an indication of how a building is going to operate. In line with the BCA Green Mark 2021 (GM:2021), higher-tier Green Mark certifications are required to demonstrate energy savings through energy modeling.

Objectives

This course aims to equip industry practitioners with knowledge to conduct building performance simulations as well as identify strategies to enhance the overall energy efficiency of buildings. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply GM: 2021 requirements and prevailing standards to evaluate the energy performance of a building;
  • Perform modelling simulations on various aspects such as thermal comfort, passive and active design options etc; and
  • Analyse results and determine strategies to improve the overall energy performance of a building.
