Overview
Design for Maintainability (DfM) is identified as a key pillar to accelerate transformation through a more integrated ecosystem, linking maintenance outcomes to design processes leading to a more sustainable, labour-efficient, and cost-effective maintenance regimes throughout the life of a facility.
Objectives
The course covers insights into the criteria, design strategies, and best practices under GM2021: Maintainability Section for Residential development as well as practical applications of DfM in public housing projects.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Understand the principles, requirements, and tools of DfM
• Understand HDB’s Guidelines & Maintenance Issues for public housing projects
• Aware of best practices in the application of DfM for public housing projects
