Overview
The BCA Academy Foundation Programme (FP) is a one-year preparatory programme designed with a practice-oriented curriculum tailored to align with the latest trends and demands of the BE sector. It provides a smooth transition into the relevant BCA Academy Integrated Work Study Diploma (iWSD) programmes. The FP introduces students to the dynamic BE landscape, equipping them with the foundational knowledge to make informed decisions about their preferred iWSD specialisation upon completing the programme.
Students in the FP receive provisional places in diploma programmes, contingent upon successfully passing all FP modules. This requirement motivates students to maintain high standards of academic performance during the FP year, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future studies.
Objectives
The Foundation Programme (FP) aims to:
- Prepare students for entry into Integrated Work-Study Diploma (IWSD) programmes within the Built Environment sector.
- Equip students with essential foundational skills and knowledge, including contemporary topics relevant to the industry.
- Offer an alternative pathway for students who may not meet the direct entry requirements for IWSD programmes.
