About the Course

Overview

This course covers the Project Management Body of Knowledge required in the BE sector, including project management standards and core functions and project lifecycle, stakeholder and communication management, managing consultancy services and consultants’ contributions, time and productivity management, quality management, contract management, cost and resource management, project risk management, Environment, Health and Safety management and Workplace Safety and Health management, value engineering and value management and project sustainability implementation. 

This course is part of the Specialist Diploma in Integrated Project Management (SDIPM).

Objectives

Upon completion of this module, students are able to:

  • Identify project management standards and understand their core functions.
  • Define what a project lifecycle is and identify the different activities within each lifecycle stage.
  • Describe the different stakeholders’ involvement and apply communication skills to manage them.
  • Explain and apply time and productivity management skills to a project.
  • Explain and apply quality control and management skills to a project.
  • Explain and apply cost and resource management skills to project budget control.
  • Identify the possible project risks and be able to manage and control them.
  • Apply Environment, Health, and Safety management and Workplace Safety and Health management skills to enhance the working environment and conditions.
  • Explain and apply value engineering management to a project.
  • Implement various sustainability initiatives in a project.

Who Should Attend
BE professionals who wish to be equipped with the skills and competencies to take on project management roles such as Project Managers, Project Management Executives or Construction Management Engineers.

Existing project or construction management professionals who wish to advance their skillsets to manage building projects more effectively and with collaborative and IPD approach. 
Assessment & Award
Candidates who have successfully obtained CSCs for the five courses and pass the overall project assignment within the maximum allowable candidature of 3 years will be awarded the Specialist Diploma in Integrated Project Management (SDIPM).

  • Fee payable after 50% funding support
  • For Singaporeans and Singapore PRs, including those sponsored by non-SME companies
To be confirmed
  • Fee payable after 70% funding support
  • Singaporeans 40 years old and above 
    OR
  • SME company sponsored Singaporeans or Singapore PRs

Participant must achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all assessments. BCA Academy reserves the right to recover the funded amount from the participant (self-sponsored) or employer (company sponsored) if participant did not meet the eligibility criteria.
