Overview
The demolition of buildings involves high-risk building works that require compliance with regulatory requirements and the implementation of safe practices. This is particularly crucial for the demolition of load-bearing structures, as it necessitates structural plan approval and permits under the Building Control Act. Additionally, the increasing number of aged high-rise buildings in heavily built-up areas being demolished for new developments adds complexity and greater risk to the process. This training programme focuses on equipping industry practitioners with understanding of the regulatory requirement and effective supervision of demolition works.
